WINTER STORMZ!

G'day All, As it stands the yot iz on the hard stand at Two Rocks marina some 100km's North of Perth.
And that fact iz way  more prevelant as we've just had windz over 55knots overnite. And today with horizontal rain making life "uncomfortable"! I've managed to install both of the new transducers for the echo sounders onboard the yot. We cannot seal these hull intrusions until the weather gods stop the rain so I can use Sikkaflex 291 to waterproof the 2 new transducers.
The antifouling argument haz seen no gr8 newz or upgrades as the hemple antifoul we used this year waz no better than the Jotun antifoul used last thyme, 3 people 3 hourz with a waterblaster and manual scrapers made the hull ready for painting. 2" of growth, barnacles and oysterz once cleaned itz then just a case of sanding the hullz with the industrial sander.
30 discz and 2 days later the hullz are ready for painting once the weather godz give me a break.
Many dayz later the antifouling iz complete, the 2 new transducers are installed suxsesfully (no leaks)
The yot iz now back in the water and tied to Mindarie Marina on my journey South.
Once again 30 knot windz are limiting my progress South.I must return to Mangels Bay Rockingham to re-install the now repaired troublesum generator.
Both new transducers are online with the furuno unit being joined by a completely new Lowrance GPS/ECHO combo that give a new outlook as to the yotz capability. Trials and tribulations (wkoa) went in2 the manufacturing of the 2 diagonal fairing blocks needed for each hull, Dad and I worked together (without killing each other) Using Brother Mark'z Triton work bench, And my sister even helped. 2 pieces of She-oak and many hourz later, cut with a 24 degree chamfor then sealed with epoxy and fitted 2 the hulls. lotz of sikkaflex means both hull intrusions are safely sealed.
