PIRATE STORIES and COD TAILS !!!

 G'day All!
Thyme has come to say goodbye to friends and family! M I C K E Y M O U S E !
Thatz it! itz all over bar the shouting!
as of next week Galleycat has a new address!
65 Pacific Drive Qld Australia (thanx Kenny)
The farewells are well underweigh with Skipper Andy and his gorgeous best friend and confidante' Jemma helping a very inebriated me produce some amazing fresh crab pasta agnulotti'z.
It only took nearly 3 hours and several drinx to complete.
Still a gr8 thyme was had by all and the nite is one of those that will be remember'd 4 a while, or at least till we meet again in a few months thyme somewhere off Cairns.
CAN'T  WEIGHT!!!
A Huge farewell to Frank from Solex too! his wisdom and supply base haz made the task of preparing the Yot electrickly a "blast".
Danny ??? the electrician haz given the final solar circuitz "the tick of approval" even if we still both don't quite know how it all worx!
And to Helen, thanx a bunch! your interlude over the past few monthz has been most memorable and I will definatly get you out to the reef off Cardwell or Lucinda.
I'm sure it'll put the unbalanced portion of your life back in2 some kind of Yang yin.
or a the very least you can show me the "tree" pose/position.
Galleycat iz now "All white" with 2 coatz of primer filla on the hullz and the final sandown (not the race track) is nearing completion.
The Solar Hot Water system is up and operating perfectly.
The list of things to do written during my trip to Keeper Reef has everything crossed off and I'm just awaiting the arrival of Hanni next Friday before we set sail to the Reef once again in search of adventure and visual treasure!
While the work continues,I continue to "fish" and this ripper of a cod took off with my whole mullet bait.
After a few happy snaps he was sent on his way, leaving Bowen a little perplexed!
It'z now the following week, since channel 10 couldn't be bothered televising the V8's down in Tassie I had the whole weekend to finish the sanding of the hulls.
All that's needed now is a final coat of Jotun Hardtop epoxy and a few stickers then the job will be complete.
It seems I won't be watching the V8's this year after all, with the Geniuses at Channel 10 and V8 Supercar deciding to send the television rites to Foxtel.
They didn't show the Grand Prix in Malaysia either.
I think there might be a social media uproar this week.
However that won't change the fact that come Friday morning Hanni and Myself will be setting off for The Reef with a near perfect forecast.
NICE PARKING!
The Yot iz as ready as she has ever been!
This trip will be highly significant 2 me, as I leave Townsville the next stage of my life begins.
I'll take this Easter Break to remember all the good thymes I've had in Townsville and where better to reflect than my favourite piece of Great Barrier- Broadhurst Reef.
With hanni and crew arriving around 10am we should be approaching the reef around sunset.
Let the journey begin!

  1. Ahoy Captain Felix. Glad to hear that the Cat is now "all white", and glad you let that cod free - it was too nice a fish to end up on a dinner plate. Not sure if by "next Friday" you meant the one just gone, so you now have Hanni aboard, or this coming one - either way, have fun fishing etc while he's there. We had a DVG mob here yesterday to watch the Simmons Plains racing - started at 0630!!!!!! Mark even let a Holden supporter in, and to make matters worse, she is a Kiwi AND a Hawthorn supporter. We switched to the cricket once the racing was over, but Helen bailed after the NZ innings - didn't want to stay and watch the humiliation. All in all, it was a good day, but both the dogs ate too much non-dog type food and ended up heaving up half the night, so I'm rather lacking in sleep today. We're also babysitting Duke and Daisy while Nell is in Bali for about 10 days FUN
Do you have any definite plans for your final departure date from Townsville? Obviously you'll need to bring Hanni back from the reef, and I'm assuming to Townsville. I'd love to be able to link up somewhere for at least part of the North=bound trip, depending on where you are planning to be when.
We start school holidays on Friday, which I'm looking forward to as it will give me a bit of a chance to catch up on some much needed housework, and a few sleep-ins, too.
Take care, and greeting to Kenny and Hanni
Fair winds and following seas. Love, Mum
P.S. Do you want me to arrange a new pirate flag?
