I"M "NOT" SMARTER THAN A SEWING MACHINE!

SEWING DEVIL
G'day all,
Itz a new week aboard Galleycat and I've just been reminded, itz about thyme 4 an update!
The week started with absolute "xtacy", and has ended with me chasing "gremlins" and fending off "DEMON'S". It is Halloween after all!
This is hardly so very surprising! (he's a really amazing old bear) "Sorry!"
With the up comes the down! I've learnt 2 expect this!
After my trip out wide last week, I "sailed" the Yot back to Townsville YIPPEE!
I actually sailed! 6 knots and 2 hours later I was back at base. Most pleased!
As I mentioned during last week a few small gremlins were encountered during the last trip. The most important of these being, water leaks into the forward starboard cabin area. After a re-thunk and inspection, the culprit / culpritz were located.
So I set about sealing the leaks with fibreglass and removal of the forward ventz. The forward hatches proved 2B the main culpritz, with the solar vents also contributing. Both are now repaired / removed. This should solve the water ingress situation (wkoa) into the front of the Yot.  We've also located a major issue, with a loose Anchor winch, which has been rectified!
While the "Gremlins list waz long it contained only minor issue's. Most of which are now sorted and the Yot is ready once again 2 head out to the reef.
My "Demonz" returned around Saturday arvo.
This is something only I can work through!
But with the weather improving and the Yot ready, I doubt the "clouds" will be with me 4 long.
The Monsoon pattern haz now arrived with rain in the morning followed by the heat just B4 lunch. However, this also brings with it Flat water and lite winds. Sort of a "ying / yang" situ!
I'm in the final stages of ready-ing the Yot 2 return 2C. My target area this thyme will be the outer reef system half way between here and Airlie beach. My target species this thyme is Coral trout and Red Emporer!
I should be on the reef by this thyme next week if all goes 2 plan.
My "gremlin list" is all but complete and I simply need to refuel, water and top up the food supplies B4 I head out again. I'll also need to refill the tackle box with the "grey coats" taking their toll! Big thyme.
We have made 2 new reef picks, which are now going 2B mounted onto the front of Galleycat as my daythyme anchors! I've also got a new bridle system ready for night thyme anchoring. Plus new fenders are ready 2B fitted to the right rear quarter behind the couch / bed area.
Once these "minor" upgrades R complete I'll be out of here! Again!
As I've realised, itz the "land" that supportz "the demons".
Sounds very melodramatic but I've realized, I'm at my best when I'm on the open ocean and at my worst when I'm surrounded by "NORMAL". So itz the open water 4 me during the next few months with a positive outlook and fresh fish on the menu.
My dillema with the sowing machine will sort itself over the coming weekz and I should B able 2 master it before the next update! I will become "smarter than a sowing machine!"
The motor racing this weekend was very anti-climactic with the 12 lap sprint race format for the V8's being very, dare I say it BORING!  The formula 1 wasn't that exciting either! We'll see wat the Nascar brings around 4am tomorrow.
Brother Andrew has the all clear 2 return to work on Groote Island (gr8 newz), If I was a fish I'd be running for cover!
there has been some negative news from the West this week as well But nothing that'll affect my outlook!
So with that done I'll tuck into some grilled chicken and salad for dinner and retire to the rear deck in the hope that sleep will come early (as I have to be awake early for the Nascar).
Enjoy your life and live every day to the max!
