PHINALY A REAL PHISH! or 3

A THUMPING W.A DHUFISH!

G'day All,
Question? Watz bigger than an 11 kg W.A Dhufish?
That'd be Big Ash and "Budda" together in one place at the same thyme.
I'll get bak 2 the fishing a bit later but with the widescreen option of this foto you can tell you don't mess with Ash or Budda.
While they R happy to pose 4 afoto or 2 these are seriously 2 of the best blokes you are ever likely 2 meet.
Unless you meet them in a dark alley!
Last weekend waz Ash's wife Carli's
Birthday and so with an on again off again style gathering many of us met down at Ash's place for a shin dig.
His new pizza oven waz initiated in grand style with a huge variety of fresh pizza's keeping everybody fed.
My home-made sausages were a gr8 hit with everyone agreeing that the beef and cashew version was the best of the lot.
The rain godz had us all keeping close to the fires under the covered area.
We all kicked on until the wee hours  B4 finally heading for sleep around 2 am.
The kids cancelled any thortz we had of a decent sleep in. But
It wasn't until the following nite  that things turned upside down in a big way!
Ash was cooking a Mexican feed in the pizza  oven with Cooper his son lending a hand.
Cooper has knocked a bottle of champagne out of the fridge onto the concrete floor.
The bottle exploded with enuf force to "change lives".
Young Cooper being only 2 1/2 foot high bore the brunt of the flying glass, he has severe cuts across his entire face and unfortunately damaged one of his eyes.
It seems as though one large shard has sliced the front of  his eyeball clean in half.
Ash was straight into first aid mode and soon had Cooper bandaged and on his way to the closest emergency room.
Cooper was treated at Armadale Hospital B4 being rushed by ambulance to Princess Margret Children's Hospital.
Life has now changed for my buddies in this tragic accident, that's put the world on hold for their entire family with Carli staying with Coop's in hospital while round after round of micro surgery's try to save Coopers sight and repair the extensive facial damage.
Big Ash has stepped up and taken over the home duties as well as visits to the hospital with the other kids.
This saga is on going and I'll keep you posted with developments and hopefully sum good newz.
The one major thing I have realised through all this is just how much of Cameron's life I'm missing out on, both bad and good.
While all this is going on my effort to lay the tiles is nearing completion with the wet area's finished and ready for use, once the plumber fitzs the shower screen and taps plus the toilet.
I've now moved my efforts out into the main hallway and the major living area's.
The porcelain tiles are proving 2B as tricky as I thort they would be.
I've watched many You Tube clips on how to lay these tiles and they all use a fantastic levelling system designed and used throughout America.
After much bitching and swearing as the job progressed Dad let me know the DTA Pro level system is available in Perth. So until this tool and it's associated clips arrive its down tools and more fishing for me.
Mr Mick and I headed out wide from Two Rock's yesterday and a superb feed of fresh W.A "DHUFISH" is our reward.
A little birdie had let me know the fish were hiding  around the 80 meter mark so we headed out to "The China Wall" some 20 nm out, with instant resultz
This trip was followed very quickly by another out to the deep waters behind Rottnest Island where Mick ,Myself and Victor (Labourer from The Hardware Store) Had an unbelievable day catching everything from Pink snapper 7kg, Mulloway 16 kg, Samson fish 8kg, Gummy shark 4 kg and several other prize species as well.
Victor hails from the Solomon Islands and he had the thyme of his life pulling in his fair share of the biggest of the catch.
We experimented with "live baits" in 200 meters of water with some stunning rod bending results.
A late return saw me cleaning fish and cutting fingers well into the nite with all of us declaring a much needed rest day.B4 a return to 2 rocks and another crack at the Dhu'ies suxsess again even if we did have to work a bit harder this thyme!
Everyone now has fish in their freezers, And with both Mick and Myself leaving Perth at the end of next week it loox like this will be our last trip.
 "HOPE NOT"
So I've continued to lay a few more tiles with the main set outz in all rooms now. Itz just a few more full tiles then several days of cutz and the job will be complete.
I spent Friday with Big Ash helping to break down a huge shed in Nollamara ready for it 2B transported down to his new block.
He needed this distraction (we both did) as the news on his son is not good it loox as though he has lost sight in his left eye!
Cooper doesn't seem to think itz a problem and just wantz  to get out a play with his Brothers and Sister.
He is now home from hospital and under strict orders to take it easy! Have you ever tried to get a 6 year old to take it easy? Not going to happen "without sedatives".
For me itz more tiling and a bit of cooking as the days count down to my return to the Warmth of the slipway and I don't mean the companionship , itz bloody cold in Perth.
Thatz it 4 now more next thyme!
