BOUND 4 PERTH!!!

Grootes' Ultra Modern Airport

 G'day All,
Many have noticed another big gap in blog entries...
Two fold reason mainly another computer death and I'm no longer aboard the Yot but find myself back in Perth.
The main purpose (little dolphin) of this trip is to find my missing son Cameron!
This will involve butting heads with "officialdom" something I decided many years ago to avoid.
Family and children services, Police and the Family court, will all receive a visit in the next few weex.

I doubt I'll make any in roads in my quest but at least the legal battle will be started.
With the end of the "cyclone" season it was thyme to head away from Groote to a place where jumpers are once again required.
I'm also here to catchup (sauce) with a few friends and go for a fish or 2.
I've left the Yot and Honey in Kanes' capable handz while I'm here, though the trip is only planned for a couple of weex at this stage.
The weather in Perth shitz all over Groote at the moment with flat seas and fantastic temps just the rite mix for heading away from town in search of a phish or 3.
First trip, 37nm straight out behind Rotto chasing pink snapper. We reached our bag limit on the first drop but when your only allowed 2 fish thatz not hard to do!
We ended the 1/2 day in the deep with Pink Snapper, Cod, Queen snapper and Red snapper.
Then 2 HUGE stingrayz in 200m of water, not much fun unless the fishing reel is electric, which myne waz! but still a major anti climax when it reaches the surface.
Then a 30 knot run back into Rottnest for an arvo of whiting fishing B4 heading back 2 Hillary'z to set the boat up for the following day.
Day 2 saw Mick arrive just after 6am and we set off 4 2 Rocks marina.
40 km later we dropped the boat in2 the water and once again flat calm  and high speedz. 28 knots meant we chewed up the 20nm to the spot in no thyme at all.
First drop in 63 meters 8kg Dhu and 5kg Dhu.
Damn!, that twice in 2 days we've reached our limit on the first drop of the dai!
Only difference here iz Dhu's have a "boat" limit of 2. So we spent the next 4 hours chasing other species. ie Baldchin groper, Harlequin fish and Breaksea cods. We also caught another 12 Dhu'z throughout the dai but none as big as the first 2. Most were released unharmed but 4 of these were obviously dead, they made their way in2 the frypan for lunch. Tastee!
My task complete, we once again pointed "Reel-ax" back towards shore for an afternoon of filleting.
Our next planned target is my old stomping ground Lancelin! 100km North, it loox like we might take 2 or 3 boats up there in an effort 2 get around the 2 phish per boat limit.
The Dhu'z at Lancelin tend 2B a little on the large size and I'm looking 4ward 2 tackleing a 18 or 20kg monster.
Wishful thunking!
I haven't fished Lancelin for 6 years and can only hope the abundence of Dhu off the Metro coast continues further away from the city itself . Only the size should B proportionately bigger.
The weather godz have truly shined ova the past 2 weex. With gr8 fishing forecasts, this haz now changed to a more traditional pattern of strong windz and Big C's.
A 2nd day of 2 rox fishing resulted in another couple of sized Dhu'z plus a huge array of other demersal grouped fishez.
My first sambo of the trip waz followed on the same lump by another large red snapper.
Mick landed a red also then a  nice Baldy came to join the icebox.
While the days weren't outstanding it was truly nice to once again see your catch rising to the boat though 15 meters of crystal kleer water which is something I really miss while the Yot is near Groote Eylandt.
It seems I'll have visitors very soon after I arrive back with Hanni and his Brothers coming up from Sydney for a weex R&R.
Until then I'm spending my thyme gathering several items needed on the Yot but not available on Groote, strange items like plant boxes, dolphin torches and a few good boox 2 read.
I'll be back B4 I know it, and with the crystal kleer water pulling me 2wardz the Gr8 Barrier I'll once again B pointing Galleycat towards Cape York and Thursday Islandz. This will be my "Basic area of life" for the next few months at least.
As expected my contact with various legal type departmentz has created a storm that has the fone running hot and emailz flying.
This is just the type of "official" crap I left behind when I left the Australian mainland behind me. I did however drive the freeway during peak hour just to remind myself why I left it all behind me.
Rulez, Rules and even more Rules...
How does anyone manage to steer kleer of all that is associated with life in "civilized society"?
Itz ubundantly klear 2 me I no longer fit in.
The weather gods have revised their forecasts and we may yet get out to Lancelin, Thurzday and Friday both look slightly fishable at this stage and with my return trip now booked this weekend is our last chance to whet a line.
Lancelin Delivers:
We did finally get up to Lancelin on Thursday.
And as expected Lancelin delivered!
My one goal of this trip "other than finding Cameron" waz 2 get back to Lancelin (something I'd failed to achieve on  past visitz) and tackle a BIG Dhu,
Well in my boox 18kg is a BIG WA Dhufish!!!
Mick and I made the pilgrimage just after sun up and were on the fishing groundz by 8.30 then
had our boat limit of quality fishes by 1 pm and headed back to Perth. The extra 100 km drive was worth every kilometer when this monster finally broke the surface from 80 meters below.
Our guestimates on the boat were spot on when he topped the scales at a very impressive 18 kg.
So much so than when itz paired with a smaller fish at 8kg the younger one iz dwarfed.
A couple of  very healthy sized pink snapper completed our icebox load and we'll all be havin fish tonite!(Bruce)
The seafood will B used to cre8 a traditional spanish paella in celebr8ation of  Mumz Birthday. Local Crayfish, Prawnz, Scallops, Dhufish, Musselz, Calimari with all be mixed with Saffron and Pimento to feed the Gathering.
With my capture of this magnificent fish I can now head back 2 the Yot.
My task of finding Cameron while not complete is alot further up the path than I hoped 4.
Mum and Dad will be applying 4 grandparent access.
With Skye (Cameronz Mum) now located, We can serve legal papers on her, for access to my son.
I've stirred up a hornetz nest with the Police who have refused to help with my search. Still without their assistance I think I may now be closer than ever.
The xtra attention from the cops is a bye product of my effortz.
A by product I neither need nor want. My frustration level peakz whenever anything official crosses my bow and itz telling me itz thyme to move on.
I'm bak on the Yot which has survived my absence quite well.
Just a few tasks need immedi8 attention once they R fixed I will prepare 4 hanni's arrival in a few weex thyme.

Captain Felix
Bak on board!
