CALM B4 THE STORM!!

 G'day All,
My Chillian Friends have "Left the Building" It turns out they were far better at partying than working. After a week here they managed just 2 1/2 hours sanding on the Yot.
Still we had some good thymes!
But the whole idea of extra guests was 2 prepare the Yot 4 painting.
With the influx of guests about to increase itz now thyme 4 me to take a small break in the work schedule and prepare the Yot 4 visitors from the West.
Mum will arrive late on Friday followed by a steady stream of people that will see me rite through until late October.
Most of this thyme will be spent in The Whitsundays' or on The Reef!
I have managed a few more of the jobs with the construction of a Dining table almost complete.
All it needs now is a quick router edge and then a paint and Galleycat will finally have seating room for 4 or 5 at the dinner table.

The dinghy insurance saga is still ongoing with finalisation (wkoa) of the original claim for the loss of my beloved Quintrex.
Itz only taken 18 months min,I have now been able to source a replacement 15hp yamaha four stroke outboard to go on the recovered tinny no2, hopefully repairs can be finalised B4 itz thyme to leave Townsville and head South in just a few short weex.
If the insurance doesn't sort it's self out we've taken alternative steps with the purchase of another Savage 3.8 tinny from Airlie Beach this should arrive in the yard in the coming week.
The new tender will in effect give me 2 working tenders for the Yot but 1 will have a trailer.
After this coming season the 2 tenders will be rationalised down to just 1 with the other either being sold or put to work in the yard.
The relentless winds have finally begun 2 abate with next Friday the first sign of less than 15 knots.
Hopefully I'm going out for a Wednesday nite sail on "The Boat" Grahams' super fast racing cat.
Kenny is due back in the next week or so if he doesn't manage a record gold find this week! Finga's crossed for him that he does.
King Richard is also on a short holiday up in the "tablelands" somewhere West of here.
Friday's cook up was a burger fest with 18 burgers being placed at the front of a "subway" style buffet so everyone made there burger just the way they wanted.
This worked out gr8 with everyone getting a full belly then most of us chose a much "deserved" nap.
FOOD COMA!

Itz birthday thyme for my family  with Brother Mark on the 8th, Brother Andrew on the 11th,Grandfathers on the 12th, Mine on the 19th then Big Ash will have his family event on the 20th.
I think my birthday came early last night with an impromptu dinner nite that yield 2 spectacular fish captures.
Dale and his girlfriend Mandy came aboard for dinner and drinks around 6 when I had just put lines out.
The first 2 runs resulted in lost fish however with a good supply of livebait and a harbour that was truly alive with activity it didn't take long B4 we had this thumping fingermark on the rear deck.
With a few huge Barra crash's around us it wasn't long B4 the alarm was screaming again.
This fight was alot heartier and we soon had another prize fish in the form of a 4 kg mangrove jack to add to the nite's tally.
So I'm thinking fresh fish and chips for this Friday's lunch! Maybe a lite coleslaw and all the trimmings.
I've just learnt that Robin Williams has passed away, Such a man should go on 4 eva!
 "Farewell Captain my Captain".
It seems my demons are busy at work on others as well.
With probably the funniest man I know falling victim to the same illness, it's a real slap in the face and almost a call to arms for me. 4 I realise he is still within, and at thymes only just below the surface.
My current life uses a combination (wkoa) of avoidance, prescription meds and alcohol to keep my demon at bay.
For now I choose to go on,  and so I'll close this week in humble tribute to a truly Gr8 man who without knowing it has shaped my existence!
"Oh Captain, my Captain, our fearful trip is done. The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won!"
