IT'Z CURTAINS FOR GALLEYCAT!

G'day All,
Itz a few weex later and the yot iz finally out of the water and ready 4 itz facelift, several weex of waterblasting and sanding have yielded a huge area that needz painting.
Itz safe 2 say that the upper deck painting iz nearly done. Thatz the top half!
The other upgrade iz the removal of the inside curtains 2B replaced with a new material with shark and sealife shadowz. Mum spent more than a few hours turning the quilt covers we bought from spotlight into curtains.
Itz crabbing season and if I'm not busy painting I'm down with Ash pulling crab netz in The Swan River. Huge blue manna crabz in no thyme at all.
But your only allowed 5 crabs per person per day so itz important to get your bag limit. They make a really tastee crab and camembert quiche, absolutely yummo!
As you can C the new deck paint iz now on and ready for a second coat, thatz tomorrowz job.
All verticle surfaces have  been painted white while the deck areas are painted in a very soft cream with grip rubber mixed into the paint. This meanz when the deck iz wet the area doesn't become slippery.
When the roller your using iz 100mm 12.5 meterz of boat becomes very very BIG!
But thatz nothing compared to the area's of hull that needs lotz of love. The guys are going to bring in a sandbasting truck to remove all paint from the hullz and the bottom of the bridge deck (middle bit). This area iz so large itz daunting to look at. Once Vince haz finished blasting the bottom half of the yot it will be back 2 raw aluminium.
Then itz a quick wash with Ali Brite cleaner and etch, then itz thyme for 2 coats of jotomastic primer basically a complete new coating for the whole bottom half of the yot.
Then the sidez and bottom will get 2 coats of white gloss and a layer of antifoul below the waterline.
This boat iz simply massive when itz out of the water!
The aluminium haz been ordered to begin stage 2 of the upgrades with the whole roof area of the yot being turned into useable deck space. Basically the roof will get a pergola over it and the solar panels will be moved from their current spot on the roof to the top of the new pergola.
These will then act as shade for half of the new roof area. I'll also be re-installing a queen size airbed to the back roof area I used to love sleeping on the roof B4.
With the top sidez done itz now thyme to turn my attention to the massive area that make up the 2 hulls and the belly of the yot.
The area is SO big that we've brought in professional help with a wet sandblasting machine arriving to blast the lower half of the yot with crushed glass powder.
It'll take 3 dayz but when they're finished the whole area will be back 2 raw aluminium then painted with 2 coats of Jotomastic primer.
