No 2 two new deep cell batteries for the yot ( thanx heaps to Hanni and the boys) plus a spare GPS, Echo sounder and VHF radio (always handy)
Xmas haz come and gone and the yot has returned to Rockingham to chase squid, crayfish and mussels plus we are gearing up for the annual blue manna crab run in the Swan River.
Letz talk batteries! These things are huge 60kg telstra batteries that have a 5 year life span. My experiment using Ebay batteries has been a failure as I only got 15 months out of the cheap chinese batteries. The yotz wiring will be changed to allow for these monsters in the battery cupboard, 2 huge 175 amp anderson plugs will connect the batteries to the yot. Job done!
While back in civilization Big Ash managed to find my all thyme favourite pickles in an industrial sized tin, yummo!
The trip to Rottnest iz a catch up with Cameron trip, he'z down from the mine site for a few weex unexpectedly so we are going to take this opportunity to take the yot for a quick trip out to Rotto.
