KATCHUP is not American tomatoe sauce!

As the title suggests this week has been all about catching up! Catching up on all the jobs I meant to do last week but simply didn't get the spare time or I was 2 knackered by the time I finished each day.Still each day must see at least one job done on the YOT to keep the end goal moving closer. I mentioned last week that Matt and "Mah", had arrived in the yard. The kyack is now one of Mah's chosen methods of transport when the tide won't allow easy access to the YOT. Not that she does much once on board except sleep.
Sunday saw a day dedicated to setting up the Hydroponics in the port(left) front cabin, so far the
trial is progressing well with most of the seedlings showing signs of recovering from the transplant shock but only time will tell on that front. I allowed the system 2 run for 2 days B4 I put the Perlite growing medium into the tubes and a further day B4 I planted the seedlings (I'll keep you posted). Also Sunday provided the necessary time for a full roast chicken dinner with "All the trimmings" Stuffing, glaze, baked sweet potato, onions, carrots and roasted spudz as well as cauliflower cheese and steamed silverbeet. Absolutely fantastic.Today I made a B.B.Q lunch for all those in the yard which once again went down well. Most of the salad ingredients came from the
rear deck gardenz. With the cherry tomatoe and basil plants going into overdrive I'm sure next week's lunch will be a pasta creation of some description. Unfortunately having a full roast dinner didn't help Mark Webber win the Grand Prix but we can't have everything we wan't in life! Marco's Ambrose didn't fare any better in the Nascar either.
The Kitchen is slowly becoming a working concern with useable drawers and the gas connection issues finally being solved. Hopefully this week will see me finish the trims around the drawers, windbreaks around the wok burner, and various cupboards that have been cut into the shell of the bench. I've also begun to Brew/Distill my own
Bourbon on board with this Sunday earmarked as the Big day for my first batch 2 go through the Still If there's no Blog next week you'll know I've successfully created poison!, but if half the world can manage it, I'm sure I'll get it worked out as well. Once again I'll keep you updated with the progress.
The wind has been way strong this week so not much fishing and zero crab activity as well.
Once again itz been another "fun" week with good forward progress being made and life being generally good all round, even if it is the middle of winter. Still definately shortz and t shirt weather at a pleasant 25-26 degree's each day.Keep the messages coming and if someone knows how to fit an Automatic dishwasher to a YOT please call me as I seem 2 B forever doing dishes (OH well I guess this kind of lifestyle has to have a few drawbacks)
Enjoy your week,Enjoy your Life and Most of all Enjoy living!
Captain Felix!
