WE'RE FINALLY ON OUR WEIGH!!

 G'day All and Sundry,
Lotz haz happened since I last filled out the Blog!
Mum and Dad have arrived and we've left Townsville for Cairns.
We set off Friday just afta lunch.
Friday Lunch this week was
Surf and Turf with WA Sirloin Steak and Fresh Tiger Prawns from the trawler Pioneer Star (we worked on her, a couple of weeks back) DE-LICIOUS!
Served with tossed garden salad (balsamic dressing) plus fresh mint and chive boiled baby spudz.
Nuthin left for the homeless! Sorry.

Dinner 2nite, garlic cream pasta with mushroom and diced leg ham.
As I type this we are Anchored at Herald Island (Google it) after sailing Northward this afternoon.
The trip so far "Perfect" just enuf wind to sail but not make it ruff, The Yot is working fine and nothing broke.
Even Mum, who getz very seasick is feeling Ok.
Itz taken weex and weex of prep and now we are here I'm very very tired 4 some reason!
The yard this week haz been a hive of activity, once we repaired the main cradle a 50 ft yacht came up and left. Then the houseboat "Fetish" was lifted onto the cradle for a new paintjob.
Kenny and I set about building a huge tent around the boat so the overspray wouldn't cover the 25ft Bertram powerboat on the small cradle.
We are well on our way towards Cairns to meet up with Brother Andrew and Co next Saturday.
We awoke in the shelter of Herald Island after spending the night hiding behind insect screens (mozzies everywhere).
Several squid fell victim to my clever traps last night so we've now got fresh bait and calamari for the B.B.Q. Perhaps lunch!
We are making headway towards Northeast Bay on Great Palm Island this morning the sea is almost flat with about 6-7 knots of breeze.
The lures are out in search of mackerel or tuna to join the squid for lunch.

Mum and dad have had a good feed of Mudcrabs before we left Town and this guy was in the trap just as we set off, he won his appeal (with Big clawz) and was released last night unharmed.
In hindsight we should of kept him for the seafood Barby lunch.

Big Ash has sent a few meters of "Turf it" artificial turf, for the rear fishing platform and the main walkway out the back.
BRILLIANT, is the only way to describe the difference.
More to follow later today!
UPDATE!
Itz now Sunday morn,we are anchored at the northern end of Pelorous Island in the palm Island group.
A successful saturday saw us leave Herald island for northeast Bay on Great Palm Island.
Lunch was baked mushroom Pizza's Yummo.
Swim and snorkel followed!
Around 3.30 it was decision thyme stay and relax or push on towards our goal.
We set off towards a channel between great Palm and Curacao Island but with conditions nearly perfect around a 10 knot breeze and calm seas we pushed on still further to this anchorage.
Arriving just on Sundown I set about dinner, Half Roasted chickens creole style with a fresh potato salad on the side,Just what everyone needed!
We set the anchor a began to fish/squid. 8 squid(food and bait) heaps of small garfish(bait) and a GT (for sushimi and crab bait). Not a bad effort B4 everyone settled down for a much needed solid nitez sleep.
Next Update will be from The Hinchinbrook Channel which is Todays goal and clearly visable from our current spot!

Till then enjoy whatever your doing this Weekend!
