CYCLONE WATCH

G'day All,
The weather gods have a surprise in store with our first cyclone forming in the gulf area.
Daily thunderstormz certainly remind you itz the WET season.
My clean up effortz are not in vain with most of living areaz inhabitable still no dunny though!
The yot haz basically been "written off" as far as the insurance goes.
Just the tow to Darwin came in at a whopping $60-$80 000!
DAMN !!!
With the cyclone brewing just off the coast itz thyme 2 batten down the yot in preparation (wkoa) for the blow. All sails and loose itemz outside must now join the mess inside.
With the yot being just habitable I'll be securing the yot to the mooring then heading to Andrews place to wait out the storm.
Safety first!! besides the dog is still traumatised by her last storm.
She waz aboard when the yot was running aground and being pounded by big waves.
I can only hope I've still got a house when the storm clouds are finished.
The new generator and welder have arrived so I'll be getting the rudder repaired in the next few dayz.
The port motor iz running again but the Stb donk has had it!
The corrosion inside the carby iz irrepairable so it loox like we will remove the damaged outboard and replace it with a new one!
This iz exactly why I chose these outboards in the first place around $6000 and the yot will be useable again or at least self powered.
The bathroom will be my next clean up effort the one good thing about all this rain is the temps are down with 32 degreez an average, still steamy as!
RUDDERZ REPAIRED !!!
After returning to the Yot from our minor blow we set about re welding the rudders with we being Brother Andrew, chris and myself.
And that task iz now complete with the new welder performing just fine.
So now itz a case of wait for the new motor to arrive.
I can disconnect and remove the old one in readyiness but I can't lift it on my own anyhoo.
