SEMI-COMPLETE!!!!

As is visible from the foto's The Big Chop is gettin nearer 2 completion with the windowz being fitted this week,finally no more dust,well that is until I begin this week's task "new Skylightz". The windows are now fitted and the silicone iz cure-ing (damn spell checker) Tomorrow I'll sikkaflex the new windowz and trims thus makin the changes permanent.What an adventure! U have NO IDEA the emotional roller coaster ride that happens while living in a dusty filthy grotto like habitat for more than a few weeks. Shortly the enjoyable phase of this fittout will begin, after the skylight will come the canopy thus making the entire YOT watertite and removing the current pressure.Then and only then can I begin to create a live able interior that will B my home 4 the next few yearz! The weather is a constant reminder that the WET is gettin closer! with the dark clouds gatherin every arvo! I'm only new to this Qld game but even the locals are bracing 4 an early start 2 the BIG WET.

The Cabin lookz remarkably different from this foto but itz not the looks that R amazing itz the internal space that I'm amazed at! I can stand up and I'm not the tallest bloke in the world. The word of the week is "parallelogram" Thatz the shape of the skylightz that'll be fitted if all goes 2 plan. If it worx out rite, next update I'll have 2 skylights either side of a couple of ventilation(wkoa) hatches.But this is Qld and occasionally the best laid planz can go astray.
On the culinary front I waz given the biggest damn YAM I've ever seen this week, congrat's Sean! This yam was turned into gnocchi(gr8 suggestion Mum) with fresh basil creme and tomato concasse' served with crusty herbed garlic bread and Parmesan.

as this weeks Friday lunch, itz just a pity that more people weren't here 2 enjoy it. With a big antique bike show this week Big Rob and Richard were absent and Kenny's beloved' waz returning from NZ today so their absence waz noted and accepted(no notes provided).Still it waz a damn tasty meal.Unlike the nasty ,nasty ,nasty critterz you see growing in this bit of mountain ash timber we pulled from the keel of a boat.Big smelly 12inch long wormz YUK!!! They eat your boat while you sleep! itz a good thing they don't like plywood! Galleycat iz made of plywood,foam and fibreglass! Most of which wormz don't like 2 eat.
Dad was able to sort out the plywood for the skylight surroundz and for that I'm eternally gr8full as a sheet of 12mm marine ply would normally cost 80-90 dollars but with the wholesale account it only costs $52 which by itself is not a huge saving but along the whole journey if you save $30 per transaction thatz an amazing difference to the final cost of the refitt.Itz not only Amanda thatz been in a funk over the last few weeks,I too have been experiencing the evil grip of depression but that seemz 2 of lifted now and all is good with the world from where I stand! I've now been lent a reflux still to trial this weekend(in between all the other jobz) but apparently I'll be able to complete the distilling part of the bourbon manufacture process in 3-4 hours instead of 2 days, but I'll let u know how that goes next week.I guess thatz about all 4 now,Have a good one and a huge congrats to Ash and Carl for their haul of fish last week also Brother Yogi caught more fish than I can legally mention "well done" very soon I hope 2 out fish you all while listening to my stereo system and eating a gourmet dinner in a tropical island environment.Here's hoping!
