Gr8 Barrier revisited!

 G'day All,
The Xtreme windz of the past few weex have now given way to 10 knot zephers.
Fully fuelled and re supplied we have taken advantage of the lull and pointed the Yot towards the Outer fringes of the Gr8 Barrier.
A brief stop over at Cape York so the guyz could get their fotoz and they even had reception to call some of their mates and gloat.
Chameleon!
Anyyone who says camping on rocky ground will stave of croc attacks check out this cheeky chameleon. If he hadn't of moved none of us would of noticed him.
Then the sailz were hoisted and we set off for Kagar Reef.
Once again the lurez failed to raise a phish so we will have 2 rely on our bottom phishing skillz in order to catch dinner.
With the calm windz and non existent tides I'm hoping the dive visibility will be worth the journey.
Both Quentin andAlex have never seen the Gr8 Barrier and certainly never been underwater here.
4 those who've been aboard the viewing window in the floor is a distinct factor on each trip.
For the past few months that window haz either been green or turquoise. That all changed yesterday afternoon!
No sooner had the turquoise given way to the most vibrant aqua blue aand our rodz began to light up!
First up the red and white halco screamed, my first thort big mack! however I waz mistaken. After 15 minutes and several angler swaps, a large longtail tuna came aboard.
Much smilez all round!
This is the biggest fish the guyz have ever scene!
Not long after a smaller tuna fell to the red and gold Halco, we had no need to keep this guy as our tuna stox were quite full.
Alas he was damaged goodz by the thyme the hooks were freed.
Our dilemma then iz just how do we get the tuna in2 the can?
The trifecta came not long afta, with a small Spanish Mackerel taking the red and white Halco lure, it seems they don't like Rapala lurez here but the red and white haz alwayz been the most productive lure.
Our journey continues as the weather improves. We left Kagar Reef after an amazing night fish including shark wrestling.
The 2 tuna framez were hung ova the side and a 3 meter tiger came to play!
Both Alex and Quention were shouting expletives in French some of which I understood.
I now doubt I'll be able to get them in the water as we spotted both crocs and sharx in the same day.
I'll give it a go at our next destin8ion.
Dugong Island iz another 20 miles further in2 the center of the reef.
With a tiny island, coconut palms and a sand filled lagoon, crystal waters, I'm planning 2 spend a few hourz under the surface in search of cray!
I figure if I don't get eaten while under water they might just have a go.
And enter the water they did!
We were blessed to have 3 days of zero wind. While this made it just a mite warm it made the dive "vis" fantastic.
Dugong Island turned out 2B another tropical paradise and to have bright sunshine, negligible tidez and no wind just enhanced the "serenity"!
The fishing was good and the diving kept everyone cool enuf.
The powerdive needed some TLC to make it perform. The relay appears to have died, once I got it working it didn't stop until the afternoon sun made the vis disappear.
We spent that evening pulling the powerdive down to full service level then rebuilding it again.
