FRIDGY FLYZ IN!

G'day All,

While I wait for the painting fairies to arrive itz thyme to get on top of a few critical maintenance issues.

No sooner had I begun in the port engine room when the fone rang, Fridgy Brad waz at the gates to the marina and came for an elongated visit. Hiz timing waz perfect I had just removed the main engine intake hose and realized I needed a much bigger spanner, Bradz truck had just the right tool so we set about removing the main shut off valves to the engine roomz. The job would of been impossible on my own.

The wind waz blowing a hooligan so it was inside jobs getting the attention. The autopilot motor haz also been repaired with carbon brushes and a broken feed wire turning out 2B the problem

Both intake valves were "U.S" with us having to make a special spanner to remove the skin fittings then reinstall the new stainless valves.

The night grew on and many felixxers being consumed, then it was thyme 4 a feed. Fresh mushrooms, shitakes and champignon's making up  the creamy sauce then we added diced chicken b4 thickening the whole lot with a cream of mushroom soup mix "comfort food."
The painting fairies arrived around 4.30 this morning. Thyme 2 set up tentz and tarps surrounding the yot.
3 hours and 60 litres of primer later and the whole yot iz now battleship grey, this will only last one day, with 35 litres of top coat going on at 5 tomorrow morning.
The underwater area'z of the hull have received 6 coats of this supa special primer.
So far we've used nearly $2000 worth of Jotun professional paint with just the white hulls 2 do.
This isn't so bad when you consider the quote to paint the yot was between 20 and 25 k.
Its the sandblasting and professional help thatz the expensive bits. Vince iz looking after me on pricing but it'z still a costly exercise.
An extra day to clean up the whole area and we now have a yot thatz white not battleship grey.
I originally waz going to hand roll this coat but the sheer enormity of the hull area's quickly changed my mind 4 me.
The new white coat should help when I get back to the North West, the old red hullz used to heat up very early making the inside of the yot uncomfortable.
I cant begin to guess how many hourz I'm putting in but the results are brilliant, I only have to go back a few blog entries to realize just how much work haz gone in2 these upgrades.
