LIFE BEGINS !

EUROPEAN UNION !!

 G'day World !!!
We are all OK and the world is still continuing just fine without us!
The pace of life as usual is frantic????
However just once in a while we need to slow down and smell  the coconutz.
The weather godz R not playing nice still we are making best with what we have, stuck on a tropical beach at the start of winter ! so we had to light a fire 2 keep warm....
We've visited Fitzroy Island, Turtle Bay, Sudbury Cay and today it'll be Brigg's Reef.
The food is up to itz usual standard and the scenery about the same.
While a crew of 6 is a Big stretch we are managing really well.
Everyone is enjoying the scenery and lifestyle, the crew are slowly becoming aclimatized  to life on the open seas with everyone getting some really good sleep, the motion of the ocean leads itself to being rocked into slumber.
We spent a night on Sudbury Reef in an effort to introduce the Girls to fishing. Damn!
Several good sized Emporer made it aboard then it was thyme for our guests to "have a crack".
Much laughter and ribbing followed but soon they all had fish aboard.  Even a new species of "flying fish" as an emporer flew into the cabin resulting in much squealing and screaming.
Marlieke  managed to land a "BIG GT" that left me speechless for a good few minutez, we R estimating 35kg+.
This was only her second fish ever, with the first being a small spangled emporor just a few minutes earlier.
That'll be a hard act to follow in future!
I pity her future husand when he ask watz the biggest fish she's ever caught!
Trying to get any sort of balance even here is a really big ask but itz balance I'm still seeking.
On the still front it is soon thyme to hit shore and run the still for a new batch of Fellixer.
What was 20 litres of bourbon and a fully stocked bar is now a shadow of itz former self!
We are now parked out on Briggs Reef and the Powerdive is getting a Solid workout with nearly always someone 6 meters below the yacht keeping an eye on the local sea life.
We have the unit attached to the yacht so the batteries are replenished by solar and wind power.
The girls are having a gr8 thyme snorkeling the reef with Turtles, Manta Rays, Giant Clams, Nemo's and even a Spanish Mack spotted yesterday.
Itz obvious that experienced divers see far more!
We bought some small bait fish with us, these are being fed to the masses of coral fish swimming below the Yot with the occasional reef shark joining the fray.Marlieke is turning out 2B part mermaid.
I think she waz in the water for around 4 hours yesterday.
We have some amazing video footage of the feedings, shark captures and general coral life.
The Go Pro Alasdair bought is working as hard as the Power dive and we are slowly getting used to itz features.
However there is something not quite right with the computer set up and trying to transfer the footage to the TV or computer is still proving problematic
.Defective User Syndrome!
Our plan was to spend today snorkeling and diving however the skies are a solid grey with the occasional shower just to keep everything wet.
So we've set sail for Australia again...
It seems Brother Andrew captured a Bigger GT! this week! :  Good thing I'm heading to better fishing grounds!
The amazing waters of the Daintree Rainforrest and the legendary  "Ribbon Reef No 10" are now within spitting distance!
The tides are moving and the water is warming and if I listen carefully I can hear the big fish calling!
Itz taken 2 days of cleaning and repairs to get Galleycat back to some kind of useable state.
The sheer quantity of rubbish made over the past week waz amazzzzing!
But the wind is coming up so itz thyme to head out again and enjoy this stretch of paradise.
We are looking 2wards Double Island and Yorkies Knob as a back up!
The journey and search 4 balance continuez.
