NEW FOUND APPRECIATION ! (WKOA)

"WHAT A WEEK ITZ BEAN!"
The Funk of many moons has subsided (sort of!) and ebbed and flowed with various days and news. While my major effort labour wise was on the patrol boat, My main focus mentally was Galleycat!
Lotz of tasks needed my primary focus!,so (normally) I chose the least important and installed new kitchen shelves and spice racks.
While these 2 tasks are not high on the priority list, they clear the whey 4 new fridge worx. Which in turn should solve the biggest issue on the Yot. "POWER!!!"
The main issues from our trip to Hinchinbrook boiled down to 2 major items- Power and Pontoons, Both of these issue'z have seen me redirect my focus towards unexpected area's.
1 week after my emergence from "supermoon funk" I'm well on the whey to leaving shore again, the power issue's have been attended 2, with a new generator being ordered, the isolation (wkoa) switch separating the motors from the Yot haz bean repaired. The battery charger thatz bean causing the earth leakage problem has bean removed, the downstairs refrigerator has bean shut down and the inverter is now my major sauce of 240v power aboard.
The pontoons/bootz have bean fitted with new bilge pump systems and new hatch seals fitted, hopefully finishing the boot saga!
Friday this week saw me in the middle of a rather important Lasagna! (refer to the letter-Mum)  it was made with incredible care and diligence! and proved a huge hit at the table for  Friday's lunch and also Saturday's dinner (except that is, for the store bought garlic bread)  apparently itz all in the details!
Noah (crazy Canadian) showed up for a blowout on Saturday night and we tucked into some really nice salt crusted stuffed potatoes followed by a serve of Lasagna, then ice-cream cones with choc topping. While watching Fantastic 4."Interesting"
The improvements to basic living have taken a few leaps forward! With the kitchen receiving new shelves, spice drawers and a relocated microwave oven position.
These improvements make indoor cooking far more practical while the Yot is underwhey.
The basic kitchen layout is coming together nicely.
The new spice drawer has taken a few weeks of research and work but haz finally materialized with 40mm dwv pipe (for Dad) being the final building material. The pipe waz split lengthwayz on the table saw B4 being fibreglassed 2gether 2 form a single layer that'll hold about 20 jars of spice. This has proved incredibly useful when coupled with the new shelving space. 2 create a major sense of functionality 2 the inside galley/ kitchen.
The other hull has also received lotz of luv this week with insomnia proving 2B  a great motiv8er.
I've also changed the bathroom oper8ional gear around plus fitted led lighting to the office area and bought the writing desk (finally) into useful operation (wkoa).
The writing desk /office has begun life symbolically in a letter to Mum that's taken nearly 2 weeks to write already!
The cross-over walkway has also received a major refitt!
With the escape hatch being removed! (after 2 hours with mallets and power tools)
Not so gr8 in an emergency!
The aforementioned hatch has now bean replaced with a sheet of 10mm perspex that makes walking on the floor rather interesting! as itz almost invisible as a floor!
I mean like there's no floor there!
Once the carpet is fitted to the crossover floor I'm planning to "Burn" a large hole into the carpet with a 20 litre metal drum, right where this hatch is, giving the appearance of no floor beneath the carpet, in a vain effort to keep this rather interesting feature.
Oh, I've also made it way easier 2 remove the escape hatch during an emergency situation (wkoa).
Unfortunately I've also receive some not so good news with regards to my Irish Mermaid, it seems her health is not all that rosy at the moment ,and this will delay her trip downunder.
It hasn't dampened her spirits however! as I phoned this week just after She'd left the pub after a few pints of Guinness with her friendz! (what else would you do in Ireland?) Drinking at 7am (well I've never done that "honest") In her defence it was 7am Eastern Australian Time! where Amanda was it was 11pm on a Saturday night. As I was  reminded "Life is 4 living!" Good on you Amanda! It won't be long B4 UR soaking up the sun (remember the sun) on a well earned trip Downunder.
The V8's have just finished a Phillip Island Victoria WHAT A RACE / WHAT A ROUND!
FPR (Ford performance racing) achieving a clean sweep of the weekend!
 "GO THE FORD'S"
Bring on the Townsville round ! When brother Mark will be here for not only the V8's but also Jimmy Barnes has just bean announced as the support concert event! Brother Andrew shouldn't miss this opportunity! Except 4 the fact that he's just landed himself a "PLUM" job on Groote' Island (Google Earth It) in the Gulf country "Bastard " getting paid to go 2 Groote' Island!
 That's any Fishermans' wet dream!
So as you can plainly cee itz bean a week of upz and downz on many frontz!
Here's hoping manda mermaid has an easy thyme over the coming weeks and also Brother Andrew sets himself up a really nice base on Groote Island that I can bring the Yot for a month or 3.
It won't B long B4 the Yot is in that area maybe we can leave Groote Island fish our whey to the V8's in Darwin then Fish our way back? Just Maybe
As 4 me I'm working on getting the Yot 2 Broadhurst reef on The Gr8 Barrier in the coming Fortnight. With any sort of luck, and the weather Godz will need 2 smile as well.

Well that's all 4 this week from Galleycat!
