THE FUNK IS SUBSIDING!

G'day Peoples, Itz been awhile since my last update!
Not the computa this thyme, (the new puta is workin just fine) but more an organic problem, after returning from my first trip I descended into a depressive spiral that only slowed and reversed early last week and as I had nothing positive to share "I said nothing".
Looking back now I'm at a loss to explain why this has occurred perhapz moon phases or some predisposed condition that somebody with a degree will be able to answer but from my point of view it seem's  each thyme my life goes well, it collapses! so I think mentally I prepared for this to occur. Itz taken a few weeks but slowly I'm dragging myself back to the realization(wkoa) that life is for living !!!!
On that note I have to say that Galleycat is still afloat and just about to leave Townsville on itz first Solo trip to a Tropical Island. The chosen Island is not a palm tree lined oasis, but a wind swept rocky bombing range that I wanted to visit while Big Ash and Carl were here.Rattlesnake Island is an active RAAF target range that is constantly closed to boating for target practice so it seemz the ideal place for me to head. The fish don't seem to mind the F18 jetz  as Carlo was there a few weeks back and caught more tuna and mackerel than he could count.I'm just waiting for a replacement autopilot belt 2 arrive from the US of A,then I'll set sail for Rattlesnake and Herald Islandz which will be a base of operation for the kayak and dinghy with several wrecks and reef systems within easy reach. Perhaps I'll go fishing who know's?
The YOT has now been fitted with an echosounder(that worx) a Furuno fcv 585 1000 watt super sounder as used by Mr Mick and Ian from West Coast Angling this sounder is capable of defining bottom pictures in 3000metres of water so the 30/40 meters around here should be a doddle. The Auto pilot is nearly a going concern and 90% of the operating systems are functioning.I've downloaded a gps plotting program(seaclear 2) and installed it onto the new puta however the gps dongle won't communicate just yet so for the initial trip I'll do it the old fashioned way with line of site bearings and landmarks to guide me.
On the culinary front I'm still cookin(just not eating much) with the last few fridays being well received. A fresh sandwich buffet selection followed by hot roast beef and gravy rolls last friday.
On a really weird note after we got the new puta up and running properly I was bombarded with 174 unanswered emails from all of you from around christmas thyme last year so I send my apology's for not replying earlier but I didn't receive them until now.I'll sift through them and any relevant questions will be answered ova the next few weeks
If anyone's heard from Tony please let me know as I could really use some competent computer advice.
On the contact front brother mark has been in touch after the disastrous few weeks in motor racing (RIP MARCO and DAN) brother Andrew has got himself married "again",Mum and Dad headed to Thailand for the ceremony,Miss Dee and Brad have rung and texted a few times and Mr Mick is back Down under after a few months back in Croatia. Also Big Ash is back in Perth for a restful break from the drill rig (just jokin Ash!)
But for now the yard continues to roll along and the Yot is progressing ( just a little slower than normal) I'm helping Kenny with producing an ultralight fibreglass pop top camper and we are currently working on a 45 tonne trawler that is on the big cradle for repaint and antifoul. The materials have all arrived for the "PERGOLA" or bimini top that will cover the rear deck.Once we've fibreglassed all of the sheetz for Kenny's Kampa we'll set about building the fibreglass canopy(PERGOLA) and then it'll be fitted. After that stage it'll be a little wet here so I'm intending to spend a month or 2 in front of a sowing machine making roller blinds and insect screens I mite even make a few cushionz and curtains.
But for now I'll head down into the kitchen and prepare dinna, crumbed garlic chicken drumstix and ceasar salad  Nice and lite but still tasty !
Ciao from FNQ
